Free. All Idaho Screendance Festival screenings are free and open to the public.
The venue varies by year. In 2026 the screenings were held at The Flicks in Boise, with a workshop and additional screenings at Idaho Fine Arts Academy in Meridian. The location for the next festival will be posted here and on our social channels.

Artistic film shorts, documentaries, or feature-length films where movement and dance, in any genre or style including pedestrian movement, together with film and video practice, are the main mediums of the art.
The festival is a community event for all ages to attend. Filmmakers ages five through adult may submit films.
Selected filmmakers receive admission to the festival workshop, screening, and networking event; professional adjudication by screendance experts; an Official Idaho Screendance Festival Selection laurel; eligibility for adjudicated and audience choice awards; a place in the filmmaker Q&A; and industry networking.

A two-hour Screendance Filmmaking workshop taught by guest film and dance artists. It is open to all festival attendees.
